Gold Plated Brass Wire
Brass wire CuZn10 consists of 90% copper and 10% zinc.
Brass wire CuZn20 consists of 80% copper and 20% zinc.
Brass wire CuZn30 consists of 70% copper and 30% zinc.
Brass wire CuZn37 consists of 63% copper and 37% zinc.
These product has very good mechanical properties and corrosion behavior, comparable to that of copper. The low conductivity and the outstanding bending proof performance makes it the preferred choice for heating applications.
For some applications brass wire has to be plated to meet special requirements. This may for instance be to protect the wire from corrosion or to solder it together to other metals.
Luma gold plated brass wire has as standard a coat thickness corresponding to 4+1 % of the wire weight up to wire diameters of 50 microns. For wires above 50 microns in diameter the coat thickness is 0,5 micron.
