Gold Plated Stainless Steel

The generic term for grades of steel that contain more than 10% chromium, with or without other alloying elements. Stainless Steel may also have varying additions of Nickel, Molybdenum, Titanium, Niobium and other elements.

Stainless steel maintains its strength at high temperatures, and is easily maintained.

For some applications Stainless steel wire has to be plated to meet special requirements. This may for instance be to solder it together to other metals.

Luma gold plated copper wire has as standard a coat thickness corresponding to 4+1 % of the wire weight up to wire diameters of 50 microns. For wires above 50 microns in diameter the coat thickness is 0,5 micron
